Said to be probably the most useful crystal for all-round healing and cleansing. As its name suggests it is is believed to be associated with the blood and is believed to be an excellent blood purifier. In addition it is said to help clear toxin from the body, benefiting the liver, kidneys and bladder, and to strengthen the heart and the circulation. Bloodstone can also be a powerful aid to revitalisation when the body and mind are exhausted. Bloodstone is a strong grounding and protecting stone and is believed to promote love and understanding between friends, resulting in the building of solid friendships. Placing Bloodstone in a bowl of water beside the bed is said to ensure peaceful sleep.

Picture Jasper is a form of Brown Jasper. It is a grounding and harmonizing stone with a strong connection to the earth. It is said to promote feelings of responsibility towards the planet, encouraging a need to care for and protect it.

Rose Quartz is believed to be good for general healing. It is said that it removes negativity, encourages self-love and appreciation of ‘self’. and is especially helpful in ‘matters of the heart’ whether physical or emotional. Can encourage peaceful and loving atmosphere in the home (rough hewn is best for this, place a largish piece somewhere fairly central in your house).

 It is also know as the ‘Childs’ crystal, placed by the child's bed it is believed to counteract hyperactivity and excitability and encourage calm and loving emotions. Also believed to be very beneficial during pregnancy and childbirth, and helpful in regulating menstrual difficulties, it  is said to be useful in that it helps fertility in both males and females. Tumbled Rhodochrosite.

Rhodochrosite. a stone whose colour ranges from orange to pink, relates in chakra balancing to the solar plexus area. When it's placed there it is said that it helps to release the emotional stresses which inhibit breathing. It is also believed to help clear problems from the heart area and promoted unconditional love. Since the solar plexus rests midway between the upper and lower chakras, this stone when placed there may help to balance the energy flow between the upper and lower parts of the body. In meditating, place Rhodochrosite on your solar plexus, and be aware of it rising and falling as you breathe. This is both an excellent way to monitor your breath and to keep you from the distracting thoughts which are always waiting to enter our minds when we meditate. Have a mental image of its rich colour, and imagine its warm, relaxing energy filling you.

One of the most important ‘companion stones’ Sodalite can be worn or carried for long periods of time, and in fact this will develop its connection to the wearer and will comfort and support them.  Works especially well as a palm-stone.
