Well here we move to the last weeks
of Summer, and what a glorious (if somewhat short) summer it
has been! Last month was
simply too busy for me to write up a page for you...(please forgive!)
I have been very busy preparing workshops for the coming Autumn
and Winter months, both in our
local area and
online.
During the month we have acquired two new residents in the aviary. Two young ring-neck parakeets... one pale powder blue and one palest green. As they are as yet too young for us to know their gender, they are for the moment Jade and Lapis
(or Mrs Blue & Mr Green!) see pics!
We have also been given two male Guinea Pigs! that were 'surplus to requirements' and looking for a good home. They are now living at the bottom of the aviary with the one remaining Quail (who now thinks he is a Guinea Pig) and having a great time with loads of space instead of a confining cage. We seem to have invented a rather bizarre re-cycling system. We fasten Veg, apples and other fruit in the branches of the aviary tree, which the birds soon get fed-up of and drop to the floor, where they are 'hoovered up' with great delight by the Guinea Pigs! Its a funny sight to see the 'Pigglets' whistling up to the birds to 'Hurry up and send down some apple!!!'

Today is my 'Bee-in-the-bonnet' time where I would like to 'air' something that is on my mind!
Psychics on eBay
I believe that one of the most annoying threats to the credibility of genuine professional psychics on the Web today, is eBay
A sweeping statement! Well…. yes, but unfortunately as I can see it, true!
For many years, almost since we have had access to the Web, it was easy to type a search term such as ‘psychic readings’ into a search engine, and come up with a variety of sites to choose from.
Ok, many of these sites were not genuine [many still are not!] But there are and were also sites belonging to psychics and clairvoyant who have worked for many years in their chosen field, and who offer genuine services and realistic prices for their time and trouble.
Clients tend to stick with a site that they are happy with, and whose psychics have given them a good experience with their readings, be that phone or e-mail.
Then came eBay!!!
Whilst many of the people offering psychic services on eBay are genuine [and have their own working sites on the Web] the majority, in my opinion, are simply people who are jumping on the bandwagon, and who are neither psychic, nor professional.
This can often be seen by the name that they are using on eBay, which in many cases has little or nothing to do with what they are offering in the way of psychic services.
This is usually because they begin on eBay by buying or selling, as most people do, and suddenly realize the potential of anonymously selling a service that brings in an ‘easy’ income
It also has to be pointed out, that many of those requesting the so-called ‘ psychic readings’ are only half-hearted about it, many indeed scathing and looking to ‘put down’ the reader (one of our own readers at Silvermoon has suffered in this way!) and many readings are booked out of curiosity more than actual real need.
This combination has been a recipe for disaster for professional psychics for the past few years. Bringing to some extent our whole business into disrepute.
My standpoint here is some what unique.
As a long-standing professional psychic, (over 20 years) with many web sites, who tried eBay for some months at one point to expand her client base, and a short time afterwards gave it up altogether in disgust!
(I have never in my professional life before been asked so many inane and frivolous / nonsensical questions!!!)
What prompted this article was a meeting with an old acquaintance recently, whom I have not seen for some time.
I know that part of her income is made by buying and selling on eBay, so I asked how it was going?
She told me that she was “ now doing readings on eBay”! I was shocked into silence by this information, and extricated myself from the conversation as soon as I was able to without giving offence.
This person to my knowledge is neither ‘psychic’ nor experienced in that field, and yet she is offering a supposedly professional psychic service on the Web! and in my backyard to boot!
End of a friendship? Possibly! Am I being petty about this? Possibly! ….Well that is up to you to decide. But I am sure that I shall be able to work around it with my friend, who I am also sure does not realize all that is involved...and as ever, after a hiss and a spit! it will be forgotten by us both!

I have spent most of my adult life as a psychic consultant and healer, constantly updating my own skills with latest thinking and discoveries so that my clients get the best that I can possibly offer.
Here is someone offering a very similar service on eBay with no conception whatsoever of the harm that she could be doing.
However, I have to say that things are looking up!
I recently spent a few hours checking out the most recent pages of eBay offering psychic readings and services, and there seems to be many many more than there were previously, some of them asking ridiculously low starting prices!
This is ‘good’ from my point of view!
If the market is flooded with inferior services then the public will slowly migrate back to the honest professionals.
This will take time, but personally I believe that the trickle has begun….
And we can wait…. We have been around for a very long time!

This month we thank the Goddess for the bounties of fruitfulness, and gather in all that requires saving for the short days of winter. This is the time to reflect on the growth that has been achieved during the 'growing times' and the abundance that results from that. Be it fruit and vegetables, or wisdom and knowledge!
