Golf.  Cullen has a traditional Scottish links course with magnificent views over the Moray Firth where dolphins are regularly seen. The club was founded in 1870 and the first nine holes were laid out by old Tom Morris. It was upgraded to 18 holes by Charlie Neaves.

Cullen must lay claim to the most remarkable site for a golf course in Europe. There is not a lot of room within this amazing environment for Cullen’s 18 holes, with the course playing it’s outward nine close to the cliffs before doing an about-turn with the inward nine playing back at beach level. At 4,597 yards long, it does manage to fit in a 510-yard par-five 15th.

The Speyside Way is one of four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland  It was first opened in 1981, to run from Spey Bay to Ballindalloch, with a spur to Tomintoul being added in 1990. A northern extension from Spey Bay to Buckie followed in 1999, with the route being further extended from Ballindalloch toAviemore in April 2000. The route now links the Moray coast with the edge of the Grampian Mountains, generally following the valley of the River Spey. Plans are well advanced to complete the route to Newtonmore, though no date for opening this last section has yet been set.

The Speyside Way is managed by the three Access Authorities along the route - the Moray Council, the Highland Council and the Cairngorms National Park Authority. The Moray Council Countryside Ranger Service, based in the Visitor Centre in Aberlour, covers the northern section of the route (from Buckie to Advie) and can provide information for the whole route.

Macduff Marine Aquarium. Situated on Aberdeenshire's scenic coast in the traditional fishing town of Macduff,  Macduff Marine Aquarium features marine life from the Moray Firth, Scotland's largest bay, in a variety of exciting and innovative exhibits. Visitors come face to face with hundreds of native fish and invertebrates normally only seen by SCUBA divers who brave the chilly waters of the North Sea. The aquarium's exhibits lead you from the coast, where you can explore the estuaries and the rocky shores, and then to the underwater world of the kelp reef. At the sea lab and touch pools you can get a feel for seashore life, before heading out to the deep reef and the seafloor.

Melody Brooks Manages will be happy to advise on other local amenities, and many leaflets and brochures will be found in the caravan
